ITOUCH LMS (ITOUCH Modular Learning Management System) is a Learning Management System platform that can be used to establish a culture of continuous learning or expand the capabilities of traditional learning management systems, setting its own standards in the market.
ITOUCH LMS aims to bring new standards to corporate e-learning systems. This mobile-first system, which utilizes micro-learning, gamification, spaced repetition, and many other LMS features in corporate, retail, and other business and educational environments, enables employees to receive training on their own mobile devices. It will provide the most effective ways to create, distribute, and analyze education.

How Does ITOUCH LMS Work?
ITOUCH LMS operates as a free online education platform for everyone.
In line with our mission to democratize learning, we will make our education platform accessible to everyone by offering ITOUCH LMS completely free with certain limitations. Our Free Plan will allow unlimited creation of lessons, distribution to an unlimited number of learners, and access to a range of analytics and management tools to track learner progress. We prioritize delivering simpler and smarter education and encourage users to continue learning at all times.
MICRO-LEARNING
Microlearning is one of the most effective forms of learning and education.
Microlearning, in essence, involves breaking down information into topical, bite-sized chunks. By engaging with highly targeted learning triggers, the digestion of lessons becomes much easier, and the likelihood of retaining information increases. Developing, updating, and distributing microlearning lessons is easier compared to traditional e-learning courses, and completion rates are significantly higher. Additionally, the compact structure of microlessons supports techniques such as Just-in-Time Learning, Spaced Repetition, and Peer Learning.
Benefits of Micro-Learning
mobile and micro learning management come together
Within a month, we tend to forget approximately 90% of the information we learned. Consequently, when a significant portion of educational material is not retained, acquiring new skills or training the workforce can be quite costly.
The brain prioritizes remembering important information for survival. For instance, if you accidentally touch a flame, your hand automatically pulls back. To store other types of information, we need to convince our brains that the information is worth remembering and thus overcome the forgetting curve.
With ITOUCH LMS, we will explore how to overcome Ebbinghaus’ forgetting curve and why it is a valuable educational system.
What is Ebbinghaus’ forgetting curve?
In 1885, psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus tested his memory by learning lists of meaningless syllables such as “WID” and “DIF” and then attempting to recall them at specific intervals.
Within a few days, he had forgotten most of the information, leading to the conclusion that memory deteriorates rapidly.
Subsequently, Ebbinghaus created the forgetting curve, which depicts the rate of forgetting after learning:
a. The curve is inherently exponential, meaning that memory sharply declines from 100% to below 50% in the first few days. Some psychologists suggest that this decline can occur even within the first hour after learning.
b. The forgetting rate continues to decrease but at a slower pace.
c. Ebbinghaus revealed unknowns in this field by remembering certain syllables after one day and subsequently recalling them consecutively.
Factors Affecting Retention/Recall:
The forgetting curve can be visualized by the following equation:
R = e ^ (-t / s)
R – Retention: It represents how easily information can be recalled.
t – Time elapsed since learning took place.
s – Strength of memory.
e – Euler’s number.
Seamless Adaptation with Microlearning
Due to the nature of the Spaced Repetition methodology and its strategic approach to information delivery (and re-delivery), this methodology will be utilized for mobile-first microlearning. Unlike traditional e-learning courses, microlearning breaks down information into topical, bite-sized chunks. This facilitates easier digestion of the fragmented and focused educational materials through learner interaction.
The System Will Guide You
The intelligent system will work in the background to determine when the content should be repeated. It will take into account not only the scanning of user performance in lessons but also the weighted importance of the content in deciding what comes next. Students will automatically receive the most suitable education tailored to their individual needs, eliminating the need to worry about details.
Spaced Repetition Technology Module
As many e-learning courses are lengthy and demanding, with completion rates often reaching only 20%, expecting students to retake the course multiple times is not practical. However, since microlearning modules can be completed in just a few minutes, the potential for revisiting them makes instant accessibility of spaced repetition crucial (typically increasing completion rates to around 80%).
To take this concept further, ITOUCH LMS introduces Intelligent Reminder Tool, an applied feature of spaced repetition based on data derived directly from the educational application. MindScribe’s spaced repetition implementation utilizes an adaptive, dynamic algorithm based on the SM-2 model. Instead of repeating the exact same course, it asks different questions to determine what the student remembers and what they forget. The less accurate they are, the more frequently they will be tested. However, if the questioning indicates that the student struggles to retain certain topics, those topics will be asked more frequently until they feel more comfortable with them.
